Which one is better? Amd 64, or Amd 64 x2. I know x2 is newer and is for more multitasking. but is it worth it for me to spend more money on the x2. All im going to be doing is either playing some games or typing, or surfing internet, rarely will i do that all at one time

should i go with clockers choice or is this one still okay because arent they both the same?

You could save even more if you buy the 3000+ with the intention of buying an X2 later. The price of the X2 will be a lot lower. In fact, if you time it right, you could end up with both CPUs for less than buying an X2 now. Or an even faster X2.

Then again, you might want something completely different in a year or 2.

I'd go with the Opteron (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16819103595) and a XFX 6600GT (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814150098) on the DFI motherboard (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16813136152).

Great performance and you can upgrade the vidcard (should you desire) in 2006 as the nVidia/ATI wars heat up some more and prices drop.

i think i want to stick with the mobo i had because it will be better in the future when i want to upgrade to x2, also the 64 is cheaper then the opteron so im going to use that, as for the graphics card, i dont really know
is there anything wrong with that graphics card i tried to get a s a combo?
