This is a weird mix of drives.
Why not a DVD-RW and a CD-rom?

Or just a DVD burner.

I don't know where you're buying all this from but is seems overpriced.

Here's my 2 cents on ur new system:

cpu: get the 3200+ instead. It's a better value and it's probably the most overclockable cpu out there.

mobo: why a SLI motherboard??!! ur not even getting a nvidia video card!! that's such a waste! get a cheaper mobo without SLI!!

RAM: okay

video: i would recommand a x800 GTO over a x850XT. Performance wise x850xt is only approx. 10% faster than the x800 GTO, but it's generally 30-40% more expensive.

Hard drive: get a 250 GB maxtor with 16 mb buffer.

optical drive: get a dvd burner

Two words: rip off.
Now how is that helpful?
What is a ripoff and why?

What is a ripoff and why?Yes it's helpful.
Obviously I said it's a ripoff because it's a bad price. I'm just helping him out.

Same here, same here. I only owned one ATI card and it was the biggest piece of shit I have ever owned, plus the software never even worked.
