yeah, I watched the first 5 of L-E's subs, but couldn't wait and ended up watching the slightly crappy shinsen ones for 6&7.
I've watched a couple of mushishi eps now and that is one weird ass series. I think i prefer my anime a little less trippy.

Am currently going on monster which should wrap up soon (been really slow on releases lately, but it seems at least soldats has picked up the pace the last few weeks). If you haven't seen this one, you should ^^

yes, i'm a avid watcher of the monster series. i'm on ep 67 and do have the first 50 eps with soldats. 51-67 is anikraze. will get the rest of them in soldats if they ever finish. finished with 74 eps...

This thread is fucking awesome ... I've always just "stumbled" across different animes and prayed they were up to my taste ... Your top 3 on that list I fully agree with ... as well. Although I tend to always try and seperate the movies from the series.

most of them are eng subbed for i dont' really care for the dub. sometimes and only sometimes do dubs really work the the show. anywho, if i can i WILL get the dual audio so i will have the original japanese voice, but the possibility to watch it in english if i like. :)

Thanks. Looks like me and you have the same exact tastes for the most part. I have the Hellsing OVA's (1-3) still haven't watched them though i'm on episode 12 of the series. I have never seen Fate Stay Night or Samurai Champloo. I will get them this weekend. Thanks for all your current recommendations. Berserk was excellent, hated the last 2 episodes, but know the first episode of the anime series was the closer (Real ending). Manga is still on going after 12 years or even more I think.

Loved both Vampire Hunter D's. Vampire Hunter D was the first anime movie I ever seen back in like 1990. Bloodlust was just a masterpiece.

i'm disappointed with the anime. i was looking forward to some JAPANESE wolverine action and while we did get that it took another year to release it for they re-drew wolverine completely. seems fans wanted a more "American" version. me? we already have that and the original drawing was a lot better imo.

I'm not sure how I feel about Thundercats yet. First of all, it's not anime, but does have anime influenced art direction. The episodes 01-02 premier brought me way up, episode 03 brought me pretty far down (do you need to completely rip off Melville?), then episode 04 brought me back up just a little at the end. So episodes 05 & 06 will make it or break it.

Saw Deadman Wonderland mentioned, of which I watched 6 eps, and it's a fucking terrible piece of shit, to the nth degree.
