weird i did my laptop last night - after my bloody adapter decided to commit suicide - the cheapest adapter i found was ....100$ wtf
the machine is not even worth it
i need 20V 4.7A adapter...help
hadnt cleaned it for 6 years (although had vacuum cleaned it-vents)...so yeah it was a mess - first time i dared opening a laptop.

Bet you could buy a cheap secondhand one for cheaper than that,I've never seen inside a laptop.

@Manker - excellent thanks (except for the rupees bit :lol:) been looking for what the "true " prices of these bloody mortal adapters are.
@Grip - i will definetly search the city for second hand versions - but those pc shops...if they have a second handone will definetly try to make you bleed for it - so i will probably have to do some sneaky sidemanouver technique - tell them i need something else etc
inside a laptop is a tight as a....

whats the most important the Volt or the Ampers? eg 19V + 4.5A would be better than 20V + 3.5A???

a side panels usually off or the whole thing is usually in pieces, dust never has enough time to settle :snooty:

i havnt cleared out my pc since i moved it in to a new case, in the old case i found parts of a moth and loads of dust...
i must clear out my pc tho i put some bits of paper in the top case fan and i never saw them again :cry:

To Manker & Grippz - the correct answer to the Amperage & Voltage issue is
Make sure that the Voltage is exactly the same and that the Amperage is the same or higher than specified.

I think it depends on the positions of the fan, which causes dust to accumulate. Anyway, I clean mine whenever i upgrade my computer, which is every 6 months or so =P
