As the most fascinating creator of our our times - I decide on the prices for the projects, and always end up underpricing my work. so infact - yes
stupidity comes with decadence of choice - and the lack there of.

It looks like you're saying that if Blyth earns more than minimum wage, she must be thick

Well, if I get paid loads for an assignment I've not worked very hard on, it means my knowledge is over-valued by whoever has paid me.:01: If I work hard and get bugger-all for it, it means I'm working for tight-ass mean-spirited fuckers. Sometimes I get more than the min wage, other times I get less, owing to the hours put in. Does this mean that I am thick sometimes? Actually, yes.

Does effort actually reflect knowledge?

No.

Wondering whether it's worth a look. It's an ex-mining town right? Socially deprived at all? Haven for yoot-crime and domestic violence mayhap?

(blyth taking shortcuts on research)A look as in travelling to take a look? Probably not. It's a horrible little place but is exactly as you describe.

Not only is it an ex-mining village but also the Steel Works in Ebbw Vale (next town along) closed so the residents have twice as many reasons to be socially deprived.

The pubs are okayish, loads of fighting and slappers aplenty :01:

Thanks, that sounds ideal (For my purposes, not for the residents!). If it was included, I'd have to visit it. I'll purchase a flack jacket and some camo gear especially.

I remember going to Blaenaven (sp?) on a school trip. (I've just checked on the map and it's fairly near aint-it) It was a hill. It was rainy. The job centre had two jobs advertised in the window and one of them was for the job centre.

We were taken down some old mine, (Big Pit?) and had the fear put into us when the sadistic bastard showing us round turned all the lights out and told us about the rats and dead horses and things.... nightmares for years.
