Seen this on a couple of torrent sites.

Anyone know anything about it? At 450 MB, it's gotta be very "beta".

450mb isn't that small. a lot of good mp demos are about that size. i've played 3 betas of this game so far and none of them were very playable. hopefully, this one is.

OK, just mount, then copy all the files to a folder on your hard drive. Crashes when I try to join a MP server tho (there's a couple).

Can run my own server, but there's no-one to shoot :(

Graphics are kinda nice, though I can't find any sort of settings to fiddle with them. Runs at 80ish fps on a 2500+, 9800 Pro, 1 GB RAM.

Sometimes this weird wind comes along that seems to blow me around or kill me. To be honest I don't have a clue what's going on.

lol, nice post dude (about the wind thing, i noticed it on that 2nd pic of urs and i was like wtf), looks really unpolished though but it seems very optimized, for a beta this is pretty damn good to run at 80ish fps on that kind of system.

Can anyone help me get this thing to work? Everytime I try to run the game the XRay engine is "not responding"..
I'm running off a 3.2ghz AMD
Gforce 6600
2.5gb RAM that anything to do with it?

Wish I could help you out but I don't have it anymore. All I know is when I had it, it would crash if trying to join a server but was OK if you hosted it yourself.

Ahh what a joke I was downloadin the "iliy" release of this got to 97.5% and the seeder cancelled :/... so now until I can find a seeder I'm screwed :(

Only some generic advice: Keep the torrent open for a few days, I've had people cancel in similar circumstances messing up the whole torrent but then some kind soul will come along and reseed his finished torrent (or somewhere someone has requested a reseed).

Cheers for the advice in the end I did get it, was a noob mistake before :blushing:
thing is i still just cannot get this to work, people say it works when running your own server but I still get not responding message from the xray engine.
exact details on setup of server would be so helpful e.g. what options to have turned on n which to turn off:)

I'd forgotten about this thread.

The one thing I remember from playing is that even in the beta there was a massive selection of kick-ass weapons.

I hope most of them make it over into the retail version of the game.
