Half-Life1 problem

I know there are a few half-life heads here

any of you seen this problem?

I have reinstalled a few times on 2 different PCs (both with XP sp2)
patched to version 1110

it happens when you are about to start singleplayer or a multi

problem with cd or image then, redownload. if its a legit copy u bought from store, then return it to them and ask for an exchange.

thanks, but i tried that numerous times on different computers

anyway I downloaded it and it seems to work fine
i guess my 5 year old disc is fecked

I've had that problem with my legit HL1 CD, but now I got a download copy and nothing's wrong with it lol

Maybe steam has a rebuilt version with issues solved.
