Right now, I have a Maxtor Diamondmax10 250 GB HD as my primary HD. And the cap capacity on a single HD is 125 GB without SP2. I am not going to update to SP2, because SP2 requires activation which I can't do.

Is there a way to fix the peak capacity problem without installling WIN XP SP2?

Is it CORP?
If so get a sp1 key (not hard to find).

Try downloading "Windows XP service pack 2 Network installation package for IT professionals and developers". 272 megs but afaik there is no verification required. It is #12 on the most popular downloads list

It does need verification...

Welcome to the forum, btw.

A little research -Google- should help in resolving the "verification" problem - unfortunately I dont think it can be discussed here
