I see that ccleaner has that option under cleaner "advanced " Tray notification cache. You still have to restart explorer exe . :)

Go to Taskbar
right click it
select properties
taskbar
Where it says Notificatin area
Show the clock below that
Hide inactive icons....tick
press customize

Customize Notiications

Current Items...........they are ok

scroll down
Past items ..............how do i clear them?

yeah it's a cool little script
I've used it before, mainly after uninstalling something
(can't see no fuggin reason on earth why windows would not remove note icons after a program is no longer present, but oh well....)
