help needed with TMPnc express

i just started to encode avi xvid movies, most of my movies necodes fine,but
some movies just freeze, when i ad them in express,i usely convert xvid,avi files to vcd mpeg1 files,could it be that its becouse some of the movies is mpeg4 ac3 format ?

have tryed to google but no much luck,and TMPGEnc do not have a trubleshooter.

i hope some clever people here can gime me a hint

Usually bad frames cause the freeze. I scan with Virtual Dub MP3 Freeze,
remove the bad frames and use TMPGEnc to recode. See this guide:
