Is my email address secure?

I finally got around to using Opera 8.51 as an email client. I was told every site I visit can harvest my email address. Or every email address I have loaded into Opera, as an email client that is. Since it is now integrated into my browser. Are my email address(es) secure? Or is there a way to secure them? Thanks.:blink:

It's public knowledge about Gmails lack of privacy. Short term & long term as well. Geez I can't believe some still don't know.
