I have used DVD Shrink (http://www.dvdshrink.org/) for over 150 DVDs and I have had maybe 1 or 2 that it would not Rip so I had to use DVD Decrypter (http://www.videohelp.com/tools?tool=DVD_Decrypter)
DVD Shrink is a little hard to find these days, But I am sure you could find it on a torrent website. Torrentspy.com (http://ts.searching.com/search.asp?h=94DD99D42A51417582B48DA9398F3384&query=DVD+Shrink&submit.x=14&submit.y=13)
is one

You need: DVD Shrink 3.2.0.15

Not easy dvd shrink. Whatever that is.

I'm going to hijack this thread for a second b/c I have a question. I know how to use DVD Decrypter and DVD Shrink as I've made dozens of back-ups. My problem is I was trying to back-up Madagascar and it gets to about 33% and has a read error. This is the first DVD in probably close to 100 I've done that has ever given me this error. I then resorted to finding the NZB somewhere and never could. All that was available was the Penguins short or an NZB of the film that was no longer available. Has anyone had this problem with this specific movie? Has anyone ripped it successfully? Any ideas? Thanks a lot in advance for your help.

The DVD must be damaged or scratched. I had no problem.

Try cleaning the DVD.

I'll try that but I'm somewhat skeptical that will be a fix for me. Thanks much for the reply.
