I've downloaded peer guardian and have started it up everytime
i've used kazaa.

Is as simple as that? Just start it up and it will block IPs of RIAA and others?

It has 0's on addresses, ranges, and blocked. everytime i start it up it
loads 0 ip's and 0 profiles. Is it supposed to do that?

I've gone to the PG2 database and clicked on all the org. which is supposed
to load their ranges into PG but it seems to not have any effect after i restart PG

Thanks for ny help :D

Go to this address. (http://www.simplyclick.org/uploadertest/pg2.asp)
On the left-hand side there is a list of organisations who you might want to block.
Eg. RIAA, OVERPEER,RANGER, etc.
Some of these have several IP ranges,

Click the organisation name on the left hand side to add the IP range to your PeerGuardian Profile.

RIAA has got several IP ranges. Click each RIAA for each range you want to block.
(I've done all).

Click all the Organisations you want to block.
(I've done all).

I don't know all the details, but best to be overcautious.

RIAA, kiss my arse :D

ps. just missed your previous post.

You don't need to uninstall PeerGuardian.

Edit: add ps.

I currently have 34584394 IP addresses in mine from 180 profiles. It sounds like your missing your blocklist... it wont work without it.

Just download the blocklist update 1.3.1 right click and "save as" to install it. No need to uninstall.

Edit: Typo

@dlingeverythnig.
I missed the last part of your question. So my answer was rehash of your question. Apologies :">

I've got 38449874 IPs from 53 profiles. Where did you get your others from ?
And do you know what the good/bad scores mean?

EDit : reword last question.

Thats what I wound up with after I downloaded the latest blocklist update.. and then edited out an incorrect range.. the range was RIAA: 208.192.0.0 - 208.255.255.255 it should be 208.192.0.0 - 208.192.255.255
according to Switeck. I still find it strange that with all these IP's.. Im not actually blocking any of them.

The good and bad scores are merely ratings according to how reliable the source of the IP's is,i think.
