this guys is freakin good, definitely no metallica, but damn is he good. awesome fretting, he's very fast, but at the same time he makes it sound REALLY REALLY good unlike most people that just play fast for the sake of fast, check it out and post comments

edit: the way that he plays the vibrato notes, wow, lol looks like his string is gonna break.

i hate watching really good 'civilian' guitar players  it just teases me to practice for 8 hours a day and memorize all the scales.:frusty:

this guy is skilled. anyone who is going to cover a malmsteen song has to be!

rusty cooley is insane if you want to see speed: right-click save as (http://www.rustycooley.com/videos/uti_clip/Under%20The%20Influence%20Clip%20-%20512k.wmv)

He is good. But I also wanna mention a few thing.

First off, it's playback. He obviously recorded the song before and plays along with the recorded track.I hate when people do that.

Second thing, his technique is not that good.he doesen't use his pinky finger when he should (especialy on the bass-strings: E, A & D)

Third thing, he's trying to copy the Malmsteen sound.
I mean, copying other peoples sound is weak and not innovative.
He also is trying to copy Malmsteen's style and technique. You don't do things like that. It's gay.

Those are the most important reasons why he (and many other guitar players) woun't make it outside his room.If he's fine with that, OK.But I doubt it, since he posted his video on the internet, which means he wants to be noticed.

That's it.All I had to say ...

Wow he is fast on the guitar :P

ya, but he makes it sound good. most thrashers can't make their music sound good if their lives depended on it, they play fast for the sake of fast, this guy has skills.

and ya it kinda does take away from the experience since the music in the background (w/ the drums) is already pre-recorded
