Is there a way to make ONLY the desktop icons large? I know I can choose "use large icons," but I don't like large icons in the start menu or explorer. I just want icons on the desktop to be large and nothing else. I tried navigating to the desktop folder and choosing tiles. hehehe Didn't work. Was worth a shot.

Any ideas?

Just alter the size of the icons in the desktop properties :01:

How about Tuneup utilities 2006 ? It has Tuneup Styler 2 and options to change icon sizes .

tuneup utilities or tuneup winstyler? I've done some serious searching for this and it seems it's impossible to change the desktop icons only and not affect all the other icons. silly microsoft. :(

I'll have to try it out, though I'm pretty sure based on the screenshots that you can't JUST change the desktop icons.

Yeah - try ObjectDock by Stardock. Makes those big, cute bouncing icons like on a Mac. It is free!

For a little different look on the basic icons and stuff,
you may want to check out XPize (http://xpero.msfn.org/?page=downloads).

It won't change sizes , just eye-candy.
