I have the latest full version of Nero Ultra 7.0.1.4b.
It seems a bit of a resource hog.
It appears to install alot of integrated gook into Windows, and stuff running in the background.

Here are my requirements:
1. Play various downloaded music and movie files/filetypes.

2. Ripping all songs from a commercial CD into the computer as mp3 files.
3. Cloning a commercial CD to a blank CDR.
4. Creating an Audio CD from computer audio files to a blank CDR accepting various audio filestypes.

5. Playing DVDs.
6. Cloning a full DVD9 to DVD5.
7. Overiding any DVD copyright protections. (Nero does not do this so I run AnyDVD in the background while using Nero to clone a DVD9->DVD5.)
8. Is it possible to rip an entire DVD movie into the computer to be played exactly the same way only without the DVD disc?

9. Burning pirated software/video games onto a CD or DVD.
10. Rip an entire legal software/game from a store-bought CD into the computer to be converted into a file that can be uploaded to the FSC.
11. Some pirated games must be burnt to a CD/DVD to be installed and/or played. Is it possible install/play these types of games with a special program on the computer so you do not have to burn it onto a CD/DVD?
12. Burn various computer files onto a blank CD/DVD as plain data.

I was wondering about the best application/apllications for these requirements.

I was wondering about Clone CD, Clone DVD, and AnyCD does anybody use these?
I DLd them from their website, and installed them. Only to find out that they all 21 day restriction attached to them. They ask you to click a button directing you to their website to remove the restriction. I'm not sure about how to discuss cracking something or getting a pirated version of something, so I will not do that. Any information about removing these restrictions would be helpful. IM perhaps?

Otherwise, please let me know what great and easy resource friendly programs are out there for those purposes above.

Just 1 extreme difference with IKE's list.
Burn software -> Sateira's DropToCD or Prassi's ONES.

I'm using DropToCD. The whole program including skins is less than 1.5MB. And takes about 1/10 the RAM of nero on my computer.

You can "mount" the games with either alcohol120% or daemon tools.;)

Dont use Nero7. It has too many bugs and too bulky. Stick to Nero6.6. :)

AnyDVD for copy protection
VLC Player and Media Player Classic for DVD/music/videos/multimedia shit
CloneDVD or ShrinkDVD for DVD9>DVD5 Conversions.
Nero6.6 for copying.

I wasn't really able to find alot of info on Ones.
As for Sateira, you mentioned Drop as opposed to Pro. Accodring to the website, Drop is for beginners. Wouldn't Pro be better than Drop?

What does DVD Rebuilder do?Is it the same as DVD Decrypter or DVD Shrink?

DVD Shrink with ISO Image File and burn with DVD Decrypter option.
I've used DVD shrink before with Nero.
Is it set to burn with Nero as default?
Can DVD Decrypter burn?
If so, I can use a setting on DVD Shrink to burn with DVD Decrypter instead of Nero? Therefore, the process would be the same, only DVD decrypter instead of Nero will be used right?

I use DVD shrink (its free) for all my movies

1 step copy (a vebatium copy) but if to large for disc you can re author and do the movie only or you can leave it on the hard drive (then open the file you saved it to) then re shrink it again to your disc or leave on your hard drive

But some movies have an extra feature to stop you coping it, this stops it being a clear movie half way through So use a Decrypter or Any DVD running in the back ground

you will always have perfect copies

Note also that some DVD players do not play copies so the best option is to buy
the cheapest around that say DVD/DVD-R(W)/VCD/CD/CD-R(W)/MP3 PLAYER

Also the brand of disc is important I have found Riteck one of the best and also not the dearest in bulk packs of 50

Hope this helps if you need any help with covers & labels www.cdcovers.cc

or you can email me Fiori:)
