mp3trim is the easiest thing.

Nero has a wave editor this is easy to use but Audacity isn't a bad choice either.

download this program called wavepad.
get it here:

I have it and it is so usefull. you can edit every part of the song and cut out talking and also save it in different formats like wav and mp3. Its really easy to use and free

since everyone has an opinion, here's my 2¢
mp3directcut (http://mpesch3.de1.cc/#mp3dc) (158 KB)

sony soundforge, or nero i suppose. Just my 2 cents as well :) I used to edit wav and mp3 for game mods, and always used sony soundforge, as some of the other apps tend to get screwy when editing multiple files without restarting the app over and over and over.....stay away from blaze media....it prolly still sucks :P

Most audio editing tools (including Sound Forge) decode files before you edit them and when you save them again as mp3s they are encoded again, which results in much reduced quality.
I'd recommend using mp3DirectCut, mainly because it allows you to edit and save mp3s without re-encoding.

mp3 trim doesnt do that. It just cuts from the beggingin or the end
