What program are you defragging with?
What is the size of the section or % of your h/d that won't defrag?
1%, executive diskeeper
i have a 60gb hard drive and it takes about half a full bar

Are you using the latest version of Diskeeper? (ver 10)
It is alot better about getting those pesky files than version 9 was.

Hmm, not quite sure what you mean there, try O&O, very good defrag program.

It's probably your swap file. Try to disable virtual memory and then defrag. Turn VM back on afterwards.
that might be it, I'm on a notebook so that could be it and I'm thinking hiberanation thing, but yea I'll give it a try, I'm on Diskeeper 10
