Hello, I'm a n00b, can someone explain to me the origin of the phrase "my bad", and why do people say it?

They seem to say it when they've made a mistake.

I don't get it. :(

If this is stupid and obvious, then... umm... my bad, I guess :dabs:

I typed "my bad" into Wikipedia and it took me to an article about TMNT. So now I'm downloading some TMNT because that show rocked.

Why do people say "my bad"?

My fault

Ghetto apologies.

"While playing basketball, Wilson accidently elbows Northam in the eye. Wilson says, 'My bad', and play resumes."

Bullshit.

Northam can't even play; Wilson would have to run into the stands to find him.

just annoy them, and say it more often. You will probably experience a psychic release... and it will be good for testing those "other" people's patience :)
