I first started with Windows.

I didn't want to pay for the next edition since the first cost me a bundle and it sucked so I just downloaded it, that got me hooked.

I'll still buy something worth it but otherwise forget it.

First it was getting cracked/hacked games like Wolfenstein 3D from my dad's work buddies and/or my cousins (I once had one with a bunch of Simpsons images in the levels). I got into music downloading about 6-7 years ago, and now almost everything on my hard drive is illegal. Ironically, Windows is not.

my dad introduced me to the wide world of computers/internet, etc. So yeah I started with like 5-10 floppys to setup Windows 3.1 and 95 and then I got familiar with warez sites, collecting serials for various programs-hitting the underground websites at the time, then Napster, then Kazaa, Shareaza, Morpheus, Direct Connect,etc then I got down with Bittorent, Newsgroups, and IRC... and through all that I still purchase the software that I use regularly and it's a great feeling... But I'm still a pirate at heart lol it's not about the money...

Now I remember...
I copied my friends copied version of Leisure Suit Larry. The whole game was on one floopy disk and could be run form the disk... which is handy when you want don't want your parents finding it on the HDD.
I remember the game was dumb and difficult, but whatever. I gave some girl a rose, I think we had animated relations, and then I just walked around for a long time being lost. lol.
