I have the Sapphire X800GTO. Right now I'm using the recommanded maximum frequencies supplied by the ati overclocking tool.

I was wondering if I can go beyond further? My card's already running pretty hot (around 45C idle and maybe 60C load).

I think 45C is too hot. youll kill your card if you go further

According to the members at Extreme overclocking forums, those temps are pretty normal for my card. from what i remember reading, i believe that anything > 90C is considered danger zone..

lol 45C is pretty much the idle temp for a gfx card.

Your radeon 9800 pro probably go way over 60C at load.

90C is the danger zone? wow I'm not even hitting 80C

Anyways I managed to get my card to 560core/572 mem artifacts free! But the card does run at 78C after 3 hours of FEAR.
