if you're stuck in the house fire, you're going to die, so what's the point in bothering saving anything, after all you're single so no wife, and I'm assuming no kids, so nobody to inherit your stuff:dabs:

my music collection is made up of about five CD's, i have one and a half computers - the computers would fetch more money down the local cash-converters, being now homeless and stuff :dabs:

MY music collection is on my computer.I'm going to unilaterally add the option that my wife and sprogs are out at the cinema, so I can join in.

Me too re the music on the PC.

Ergo, the PC.

Can I take all of them btw.

Can I take all of them btw.The thread starter quite clearly stipulated that you can only take one thing.

To suggest that you can take more than one thing is, quite frankly, illogical.

Obviousement.

I would save my pets, my box of photos, and my computer.

I'm not geekily attached to the pc, it just has a few years worth of work on it. It's all backed up but grabbing the whole machine would be easier than scrabbling around for bits and pieces whilst the house burns down around me.

@ Lilmiss, What about your dog?!?

Yes but I had to add these because I felt really guilty about not saying I'd save my pets. In doing me the courtesy of allowing my photos and pets, you made me feel so much better. You're better than therapy you are!

Within the scope of this question, I would save my computer, because with my computer I can get a new music collection; with my music collection I can't get a new computer. Easy. :)

I didn't post in the penis/eyesight one because I thought it was stupid. I answered when you asked me if I had to choose one or t'other of my immediate family because it evoked an emotional response, I thought about it and decided I would save both at the same time.

The fact that you told me that I HAD to choose was of little import. If I was in that situation I would definitely put the missus over my shoulder and carry my son out of the house.

Threads have to be qualitative rather than quantitative if you're to have a good forum. Wouldn't you say.

Yeah if had to choose between my penis or eyesight, I'd choose a booger.

I try to get rid of those anyway.

Goodness gracious, it's about not about being obedient, ffs.

I remember this fella in school that when we used to play this dumb game of you had to fuck this girl or that girl who would he do....he always said neither or some model from TV:dry: ...like he couldnt bring himself to pick either one of the 2 fat girls we were referring to...like he was really going to have to fuck her irl or something.

That and other shit was a reason we just didn't bother with him anymore.

This all reminds me of the Kobayashi_Maru (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kobayashi Maru) for some reason

James T. Kirk took the test three times while he was at Starfleet Academy. Prior to his third attempt, Kirk surreptitiously reprogrammed the simulator so that it was possible to win -- which he did, though we are not told exactly how. He justified it by arguing that putting cadets in a no-win situation was cheating, and so he had to cheat in return. He received a commendation for original thinking.

Also a bit like the 'Is hell exothermic or endothermic?' physics/theology question posted here recently - or when psychology students were asked; 'Is this a question?'

All but one of the students wrote convaluted 1000 word answers whereas the student who wrote; 'Yes, if this is an answer'. got top marks.

Thinking outside of constraints set by other, less intellectually gifted, folk is the only way society can better itself :smilie4:
