:(

I'm no where near a professional or anything but I've often played against college level players.

There's nothing better than shooting 3s on player in college who's taller than you and you just have one of those days where you can't miss and you just demolish him.

Hitting 3s 3 steps back from the line, he checks you out there and you blow past him for a lay-up.
You break a player down, making him fall and the whole fucking gym just goes, "Oooooo:O ". I fucking love it.

I swear I'm going to buff up like never before!!!

Sadly I won't able to play any cutting sports until at least July/mid-June-ish.

I'm also squemmish about playing soccer again. I used to love playing with the Spanish fellas in Silver Spring, MD.

Well Silver Spring is where my ex lives and that's where I could always count on regularly playing soccer.....

....and to answer your question, yes, since they were the only ones regularly playing soccer and wasn't school related.

There are soccer teams in most high schools.

When I talked bad about soccer, 2 coworkers of mine that played in high school stood up to defend it saying it's the most popular sport in world.:ermm:

I said that's all well and good but do you watch soccer on TV and they both said no.
I said do you play it now? They said no.

"But I guarantee most of these basketball players couldn't play. They'd get tired quick", he said.
I said, "So what. They probably couldn't run cross-country track either. Like this matters."

They were basically pressed to defend the sport just 'cause they played in school.

I can say that I like playing almost all sports...including baseball. I love to play baseball. It's very fun.

Watching it is total shit though unless it's a good game.

I saw games before where the end score might be 13 to 15. However, the bad part about baseball is that scores may come in bunches.

You could watch 5 innings of shit and then BOOYAH the game gets exciting.

Also having no time on the game fucks it up for me.

Basketball is king in that department. Last second nail-biting heroics.

When I played at my gym. If it was too crowded, we used the clock.

11 minutes or 11 points. Each basket is 1. 2s behind the line.
That's my local gym.

Gyms where college players play and some in DC, they only go to 8 and every basket may be 1 point. If you don't know anybody there or didn't play well and you lose, you may as well go home 'cause the gym is too crowded.

If you are really tall, you may get you picked up on that alone but mostly everyone is tall.

I'm only 5'9" so I rely on endurance, speed, dribbling skill, and a quick jump shot.
Taller player can make up alota ground as far blocking shots. He's usually bigger too (weighs more but sometimes not) so I show him I can shoot. He then plays me close. So I blow past him. Other times I run without the ball and he chasing me so much that by the time I get it.

Swish!

Gotta play smart.

AHA!!

Many times when there aren't enough people to run whole court, we play that or a game called 33.

Now that I think of it, I'll be able to play horse as long as it's stand up jump shots and no cutting.

It is exactly the same, besides the ending score.

I discovered "21" when I was playing down south.

Yeah it involves more skill. (not trying to be funny)

...and you are playing another skillful player and can be "not so fun".

With 21 and horse, anyone can play.

We sometimes add people from the side just to fill the game up but I'd wouldn't pick those same people for a real game.

I'm only 5'9"...

Then as a mesomorph perhaps you could gain a quick height advantage by playing in a prone position?

I've realised that some 'american' sports are similar to british games:

hockey = field hockey
baseball = cricket
football - rugby

is there anymore?
