7th grade? Junior High? That means nothing to me!

I like the Scottish school system - Nursery school (Even tho I didn't go :D ), Primary school(from ages 5 - 11), secondary school ( you can leave when you turn 16)!

i'm in first year at strathclyde uni, studying chemistry. it's the best fun i've ever had (note: severe sarcasm) :(
the scottish school system is good, quite relaxed i thought.
plus in my sixth year, i just lazed around and didn't do any work (that kinda sounds like me just now  )

my sentiments exactly on the maths thing
i'm passing everything except the bloody maths
and yeah, i remember cards in 6th year, i made a nice little profit at that, playing poker last year

pyromonkey
04-23-2003, 12:33 AM
ahhh poker.... the fun of creaming all my friends.
i'm quick when it comes thinking out math problems... but figureing out how i figured it out (if you know what i mean) is the hard part.... I win 80% at poker, and 95% at blackjack... even when other people, and the computer shuffle the cards!

pyromonkey
04-23-2003, 12:39 AM
hehe... yeah our currency sucks... 16 pounds... i'm not sure what the exchange rate is like now, but that would be between 25-35 dollars... within that.

amphoteric88
04-23-2003, 12:43 AM
actually, we had to use the cafe as our common room. we never got an actual room, i think the teachers and senior staff didn't want my year to have one, cos the year before abused the privelage apparently.

Livy
04-23-2003, 12:45 AM
hehe, we just bout never had one either. coz of what the year afore had done, but this year its only prefects that are allowed in.

pyromonkey
04-23-2003, 12:47 AM
at my school (high school) we're not allowed in the halls during breaks, since people kept vandalizing everything possible... and i mean EVERYTHING (for 7 months they removed the soap dispensers from the guys washroom... ok i wont go there)

Livy
04-23-2003, 12:49 AM
our school also came up with a stupid idea of up and down stairs. some sets of stairs were only allowed for going up, and the others you were only allowed to go down, of course when we went the wrong way we got in shit, but its ok for teachers to do it, when the rules were meant for everyone at the school including staff.

pyromonkey
04-23-2003, 12:51 AM
oh yeah... teachers are allowed to get away with ANYTHING!!! *wink**wink*

Livy
04-23-2003, 12:56 AM
yeah i know, but we kicked of alot about this, as it was meant to cover them, or school also tried to con us into buying fleeces, saying you wouldnt get into the dinnerhall right after the bell if you didnt have one, and also that you would get a reference on your university application saying you didnt compl with the school, i told them where to stick the stupid thing though. oh and also you werent allowed into the common room without a fleece or blazer. didnt stop most us though. it was a total con, they was alot of hassle from parents about it aswell.
