I have just found out that the problems i have been having with bit torrents are because of my ISP. talktalk.netin the UK limit your bandwidth. Do you think i will still be able to download, even if it takes longer?
Any way, i will change providers as soon as my contract ends. Till then BOLLOX

I am a AOL user
I've never had a prob in 4 years with them
Yes they have made quite a few changes in the time i've been with them
And no I'm not taking the piss
And I'm soon on 8mb for £25 per month.

AOL are a good option, But don't use their software, it's shit

Everyone limits your bandwidth.

It depends how much you pay for.

So what's the maximum download speed you've achieved, it must be fan-tastic.

Well after many phone calls it would seem that they have decided what you can and can't do, for you. Some div on ther tech support, rekons that they don't support it, to stop illegal software exchanges, and that they all (isp's) will stop it soon. He didn't seem to have a clue so it's time to change.

Anyone in the uk got any suggestions?

Try Bulldog broadband or AOL.

I'm from the UK and have used both, neither have download limits. They do, however, have speed restrictions - but that's captainobvious.

We seem to be talking at crossed porpoises here.

Are you discussing bandwidth (download speed), or the amount of data you can receive on a daily / monthly basis.

If you can get NTL cable go with them.

A comparison of some providers. (http://www.adslguide.org.uk/isps/compare.asp?aol=ON&bulldog=ON&eclipse=ON&f2s=ON&prodigynetworks=ON&talktalk=ON&cmp_action=Compare)

Doesn't look like AOL or Bulldog are going to be much better than your current provider, and even worse in some aspects.

I'm currently with Freedom2surf, though I have to admit their performance has slipped a little since they were bought out by Pipex.
