Since I gave up the crack and started man-whoring, I've come to possess a fair amount of disposable income.

I have been spending said income on horror DVDs.

I will be watching "The Village" in a bit. Yeah, I know it got bad reviews.

Anywho, after a brisk cup of coffee, I got all manic and decided that I wanted to take screenshots from The Texas Chainsaw Massacre and give you a summary of the movie, with captions below each screenshot.

For example:

http://dyn.ifilm.com/image/stills/multimedia/photos/k/2474403_i_1_k_.jpg

Oh my God, oh my God, where is the rest of my shirt?!

Problem is that when I saved the screenshot, it only captured the border of the media player and not the actual picture it was showing :frusty:

DAmn.

So, I guess no one is going to tell me how to get screenshots off my dvds to create hystrical, informative, and emotive posts.

If you use BSPlayer, there's a "capture frame" option under....Options. ;)

Windvd has a capture option as well.

If you don't have those players you could place your monitor screen down on a scanner or photocopier ;)

Or a printscreen, not elegant, but simple.

Tech advice normally always boils down to getting some new piece of software.

In default mode, you cannot capture a screenshot off WMP:

http://img54.imageshack.us/img54/9666/manker09953ty.th.jpg (http://img54.imageshack.us/my.php?image=manker09953ty.jpg)

Hit Tools > Options > Performance > Advanced

http://img54.imageshack.us/img54/8363/manker10011nc.th.jpg (http://img54.imageshack.us/my.php?image=manker10011nc.jpg)

Then uncheck all of the radio buttons, like so:

http://img54.imageshack.us/img54/2711/manker10028jw.th.jpg (http://img54.imageshack.us/my.php?image=manker10028jw.jpg) http://img480.imageshack.us/img480/4546/manker10066nn.th.jpg (http://img480.imageshack.us/my.php?image=manker10066nn.jpg)

Hit OK > OK > Yes

http://img480.imageshack.us/img480/9728/manker10090rx.th.jpg (http://img480.imageshack.us/my.php?image=manker10090rx.jpg)

Your screenshots will now work just fine:

I think so, nine before six was the order of the day and I kept up manfully.

Gonna pace myself next time because I can't remember a thing apres le match.

Now comes the awkward phonecalls or msn conversations where everyone takes turns in saying; 'Didn't do anything stupid last night, did I?'

manfully must have been well pleased.

Bit of a bummer that, the only bit you want to forget is the match and that's the only bit you remember.

Might go out to watch the nil-nil draw this afternoon and drink enough to forget the whole weekend.

Yes. I think I should be able to round up a few like-minded individuals who will be all too glad to assist in my mission.

How does one summarize a film who's entire script is only one page long to begin with?
Nevermind.
I'm sure there will be boobie shots so it'll be fun to look at anyway.

I am fully expecting a serious doing from le French, so if you could manage to drink enough for me to forget today (not the whole weekend) I would very much appreciate it.

Thank you for your assistance in this matter.
