Very new... very stupid

Anyone feel like helping a girl out? Limewire sucks for dowloading movies and some of my guy friends have recommended some pretty complicated prgrams to get movies.... I dont know what to do.. or what is safest or free, all i know is limewire sucks for downloading movies, and my computer skills are pretty low. help?? suggestions? :(

Just get Download utorrent or some other client go into bittorrent section and find some nice sites and start downloading!

Btw limewire sucks for downloading everythig EXCEPT downloading songs! I beilive LW is the best way to download songs..

I think for a beginner newsgroups might be hard to understand tho...plus if she wants to get older stuff that isnt posted to newsgroups then she will need bittorrent anyway.

Let me make a pretty irrelevant quastion: Do Torrent sites get newer movie realeases before newsgroups?
If yes then torrents would might just be a better choice..

@IKE: I agree completely that newsgroups give you higher speeds but torrents i think will give her larger varity of movies especially if she manage to get to a good private torrent site..

Besides Like roscco said for a newbie newsgroups may be a little hard to get along...

..well my cinema, is right next door to a koffieshop...

but getting back on topic, although Soulseek was meant for music, there are also a lot of films shared there. I do occasionally download a film, but I do it mainly on opennap, where I know a lot of the file-sharers. If you wish to try it, click on the link in my sig, and download a free client...I recommend lopster..you will need to share some files to stay on most of the servers..

I rather torrents but my speeds suck on Rogers which throttle torrent downloads. I am now just starting with nzb files and usenet access. I subscribed to Astra usenet service...$12CDN for 25GB. Getting excellent speeds but hard to find what your looking for.

kickapoo torrents are very secure. I would say idowlnoad about 30 gbs a month and i never get any viruses

i too am very stupid and new and want to know of what are the GOOD fucking torrent site, private or non-private. Is scenetorrents pretty good, what do they have... I basically am interested in harder to find audio, TV shows, DVD-r. ect. Is indietorrents any good?

I have not had a lot of luck with torrents. I haven't tried than a lot, but the few times I did, I was never able to finish to download. Any help or suggestions?
