Noob Questions

I just started using Bittorrent tonight, and I actually got something downloaded!

Here's the questions:

If I want to share something I have to make it a torrent and put it on a search engine?

Stuff I download is automatically shared, right? What if I move the file or rename it?

Is the file I downloaded still shared after I exit my client and re-open it?

As I said, I'm completely new to Bittorrent and I think Bittorrent is completely different from all the filesharing I've done before. I've read guides and everything, but I didn't see my specific questions addressed.

make a torrent and upload it to dump sites like mininova, torrentspy, ect ect.

then it wont be shared, you have to continue seeding to continue sharing it
moving the files or renaming them will cause your BT app it re-start downloading again from scratch

as long as the torrent has peers and youre seeding, yes
