Need help!!

All I could find is a poker table top like this...

http://www.dartworld.com/Pages/front_folder/Poker/tables.jpg

I got that for $30. Mine folds up, is very heavy, and has a nice felt top.

When I look for tables online they are suuuuuper expensive. It's all these specialty overpriced online stores where a pen would cost $200.

I'll take an octagon or even a dodecagon but no ovals.

I'm going to start having poker parties (and of course Bid Wist, Spades, 500).

Have you tried Academy or a local billiards store?

Never heard of Academy but I did look up Champion (http://www.championbilliards.com/store_accessories.html). They don't have much information on prices.

I'll have to go to their showroom to get a fucking price.

I also wish the tables were bigger.

I've never bought anything off eBay.

If I send $500 to somebody and I don't get my shit, I'll just fucking lose it.

This one doesn't look too bad. It's probably at Champion and it says it comes in 48", 54", or 60".

Exactly and that's why I have never bought through them.

My coworker buys Redskin's jerseys on there all the time.

Academy (http://www.academy.com/) is a sporting goods/outdoors store. I thought they were nationwide, but I guess not.

As far as eBay goes, it's pretty simple. Just buy from people with good feedback. Plus if you purchase the item via PayPal, they guarantee it. If the person doesn't ship, then PayPal refunds your money. The chances of someone not sending your item is extremely slim though. It's all done in a very legally binding way to protect sellers and buyers alike. :)

Looks like I'll sign up with Paypal then 'cause that's the only way I'll buy.

Yeah I see Academy is only in the south.

Yup, Mrs JP uses eBay / Paypal a lot and has never had any bother.

Positive feedback is just the ticket. However make sure it is realistic. Not 50 positive messages over a weekend, but feedback built up over time.
