A friend of mine was telling me about a forum where he learned most of his knowledge of how to fix a problem with a pc. He highly recommended me to check out this site because he was able to get answers to problems that he could not solve himself, so here I go. My audio driver will not play on my computer. When I try to play music on my pc, I get a pop-up that says 'WavOutput not supported'. Recently, I had to reinstall my WindowsXP OS. It is then that I noticed that my audio driver was not working. When I was reinstalling the drivers, for some reason the audio driver was not installed; I kept getting an error saying that 'audio device not presently installed', so the driver would not install. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can remedy my lack of audio?

Thank you in advance

What's the name of the driver you're trying to install?

Please tell us what sound card or what motherboard (if onboard audio) you have.

Thank you so much for your assistance. The dellsupport sit was the site I went to and successfully installed an audio driver. It is just weird that the driver reinstall cd did not work, the other reinstall cds worked, just not this one. Thanks again

Good morning.

Do you have the provided CD for your motherboard? You could use that or download them from here:
