Clockwise from upper right...
Zalman CNPS7700-cu (http://www.zalmanusa.com/)- The largest of the Zalman "flower-style" coolers. Quiet and effective...$35

Zalman VF 700-cu (http://www.zalmanusa.com/)- Little brother of the CPU cooler meant for video cards. Again, very quiet...$20

(note: Zalman's website does not allow linking to specific products- the links provided will take you to their main page where you can navigate to the item you're interested in)
EDIT: OK, the Zalman pricing was out of whack...NEW PRICE: $45 for the pair...c'mon, you know you wqnt to....Good performance with very low noise levels. Cool both the CPU and GPU in one fell swoop.
Thermalright XP-90 (http://www.thermalright.com/)- nearly as effective as the larger XP-120 without the fitment issues. Meant for ( and comes with) a 92mm fan...$30 SOLD!

Thermaltake Big Typhoon (http://www.thermaltakeusa.com/product/cooler/retail/cl-p0114/cl-p0114.asp)-Nearly as effective as watercooling, this is the big dog (both literally AND figuratively) of air coolers.
Comes with the stock Thermaltake fan....$40 SOLD!

All prices include shipping to the lower 48.
PayPal, MO and checks accepted.

OK guys, have at 'em.
Although I have a ton of fans and other miscellaneous stuff, I've realized that shipping anything costs $10 and basically selling a part at less than $30 just ain't worth the hassle. Sorry.

I am.
Some stuff I'm keeping...because I can.
Some stuff I'm keeping because it wouldn't be worth my time to sell/package/ship it.
Some stuff (think cases) I'm selling locally to avoid the (relatively) expensive shipping costs and the risk of damage.

Some stuff I haven't rediscovered yet.
I haven't even gotten close to the closet yet...everything you've seen so far has just been lying around Sprocket's room.

She's very messy.

I am shocked.
After my endless rambling, detailing how Sprocket sucks up (but refuses to swallow) my spare time and rapes my disposable income, the fact that the bitch demands her own room should be obvious.

You must be young...Sprocket is the very epitome of high maintenance.

I still reserve the right to be angry the day they fail, be it tomarrow or 10 years, you may not be at fault, as of now i'm more than happy, but I reserve the right for undeserved anger... =p

I still reserve the right to be angry the day they fail,
And who would I be to deny you such a basic human right?
be it tomarrow or 10 years, you may not be at fault,
For the sake of our discussion, can we agree that the phrase "you may not be at fault" can be interpreted as equivalent to "you are in no way culpable"?
Good, that speeds things up nicely...
as of now i'm more than happy, but I reserve the right for undeserved anger... =p
Holding your rights in reserve is an interesting strategy.

I usually start in Kamchatka....

:w00t: the goodies should be here today! :w00t:

Thermalright....Thermaltake BT.....

I've been thinking...
I don't think I'll install the TR right off the bat
instead, I'll go around and show it off to all the local retailers,
so they can see the stuff they should be selling,
as opposed to the Evercrap, Giga-rocket, low-end-Coolermaster-bullshit
(actually, the Gigabyte 3D Rocket isn't bad, but...meh....)
about a dozen local retailers here, and the only good HS/Fs:
the Zalman CNPSs and the TT Big Typhoon

We eagerly await the arrival of your first born.

You did read the contract, right?

You missed out on payment by about 7 years or so
so now where do I fall in the contractual-legality-thingamajiggers?
(I always hated the fine print and all the terminology)
if payment is still demanded of me, I can get busy on it :naughty:
could we agree on a fresh off the line 4th or 5th born?

Meh, don't waste your time.
There are reasons they don't carry the products you crave.
TR does not advertise and their products are not attractively packaged.
TR is not available through normal distributors, so there is no real discount to the retailer...he's gonna pay just what you would for it, hence no profit and thus, no incentive.

I was aware of the rather plain packaging, but didn't figure that into the equation
guess I'll never be a marketing guru
but I didn't know about the lack of bulk/reseller/whatever deal for local shops

Awwww.
Should be tomorrow then.
After all, I did pay for "Priority" service.

Maybe that means they only run over it with the forklift once...

Edit: If it makes you feel any better (and I can't imagine why it would) none of my stuff came today either.
No waterblock, no vid card.

Sigh.

hehe.......with a confirmation # I was actaully able to speak to someone @ USPS
(w/o one they treat you like a freakin criminal)

looks like, even w/ priority posting,
from your local to mine is about a 3-4 day trip
then there's Valentine's Day falling in this week to consider I suppose

I'll give 'em the benefit of all that,
and an extra day even because I feel like being nice today :P
so if it isn't here by tomorrow at the latest...

I'm going postal :tank:

Right?

oh yeah :D
and packed in plenty of foam too

I think I'll wait for the bracket to the TR to arrive, and get it installed first
because I think the Typhoon is gonna get a new top bracket
instead of the h-bracket I'm thinking of making up a straight bar
or maybe even some kind of custom job to lower the profile on the mounting holes/shorten the screws

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v504/fkdup74/untitled.gif <--- something like that :P

(that's right....bow to my M$ paint skillz......) :01:

if I can get some machine time in the shop I used to work for, that's the plan,
or if I can con one of my ex-co-workers into whippin one up
(and if some dimensioning tells me it's possible)

Yours was the most difficult box to pack...two weirdly shaped, delicate objects. Used up most of my stash of foam...

Yeah, those "universal" mounting brackets can be kinda fugly.
Good luck.

Good luck.

it's not the looks, actually the TT engraving is a nice feature,
but there's just too much there with the "wings" or "crossbars"
or whatever you want to call them
basically everything outside of the 2 mounting holes for the 939

wish I could just trim down the existing one, but can't bring myself to do it
I may, later on, decide it will go on my old socket A board

or (God forbid) buy an Intel

did I really just say what I think I said?
