I'm ordering one today.... Needs to be before 3.00pm.
Are all DVD rom drives the same?
For instance will this http://svp.co.uk/products-solo.php?pid=350 do the job?
The recommended one is this http://svp.co.uk/products-solo.php?pid=349 will it make a difference if I get the cheaper option as the recommended one isnt in stock.
Thanks.

You know these are just readers, right?
Why not spend a little extra and get a DVD Writer/ReWriter?

Oh, right you are then.
I guess any reader will do then, the faster the better.
Yes, the cheaper option will work just as well.
Surely duplicators come with drives already fitted though?

So OP is getting a separate reader as well as a writer? Course the writer could it it as well. So speed or not copying to the HDD is the issue?

To promote their band? Or their business.

Isn't duplicator a stand-alone machine?
Just pop the original disc and writable disc(s) and hit a button then it does an exact copy.
Edit: Found a pic of one: http://www.avdeals.com/dvdrstandalone/images/mwdvd.gif
