UDPixel is a free program that generates rapid changes on the pixels neighbors to the dead one. Just leave it turned on some hours. (Be sure you have .NET framework instaled)

Not sure but I think this (http://www.laptopshowcase.co.uk/downloads.php?id=1) is the general program used for the job (though they look pretty similar).

They're not guarenteed to work but they do seem to help coax dead and stuck pixels back to life (and can be used to check for dead pixels on new TFT screens).

I'd rather not know if I had a dead pixel. Ignorance is bliss.
