What's your longest uptime you've ever had on your computer? (time that's the comp's been running withut being shut off or restarted).

Here's my record:

Was still running perfect, only reason I restarted was cause I had to to install and try IE7.

I managed to keep it up for about two minutes once, more than enough time to get the job done.

Edit: Made it a hundred times funnier.

I thought it was how you used it rather than how long it was up for.

I've been lied to again haven't I? :blushing:

my linux test box at uni had been up for 9 months before i finished the year and had to pass it on to the next lot of students.

xp at home has probably been up for 3 - 4 weeks at a time.

Doesn't everyone just buy a new computer when a piece of hardware breaks.

If a format and fresh installation of windows doesn't fix it - then it's time to buy a new computer = sage advice :smilie4:

I've gone for weeks, possibly as much as a month without picking a computer apart

The withdrawal was killing me, tho' :dabs:

The longest I've ever had mine running would have been when checking some new hardware-combo with prime, so 24 hours, give or take.

I've played gw for almost as long, as well :lookaroun

My computer reboots itself now if I leave it alone longer than a day. I can't figure out any hardware issues so I have concluded that the thing is just sulking.

Only been doing it sonce my last format, so I've concluded it's due to Windows automatic updates. I know you can disable something to stop it rebooting - but I've not yet been arsed to re-find out how.

In fact, I'm sure Bawa has posted an almost indecipherable thread about him having the same problem (pice of sht computre rebot all times :@) in SoftwareWorld. Might be worth checking out - if only for a laugh.

That might be it. I seem to recall every five minutes my laptop telling me it would reboot itself in 5 minutes and then I would click cancel. This went on for about 6 hours. Whether or not I accompanied each click with "I'm the daddy" I shall leave to your imaginations.

I'm going to use 'sonce' as an insult at least four times before midnight.

No matter how much I elevate my chair on the hydraulic thingy, seated hip thrusts don't cause me any discomfort.
