Edited original post again to replace truncated link.

OK to replace German version. Here's one from Oz.
Australian users can get a full English version of BitDefender 8 Standard for Windows (1 year) free from this link:

http://www.bitdefender.com.au/site/Products/PCUsersPromotion/

And no, it does not seem limited to any time period.

Thanks to FC. No not that one. From elsewhere.

I downloaded this & checked properties and it's English.

Edit: It's been reported this is not an English version. I don't know whether it is or not.

I'm not sure what all this is about but I found an English BitDefender 8 Free Edition: http://www.bitdefender.com/PRODUCT-14-en--BitDefender-8-Free-Edition.html

I'm not surprised that they make it free because the current version is 9

@VB BD std is realtime (resident). BD free is only on demand (non resident, no realtime).

Seems to be an all German version. Tried to install and every screen was in German so at the end I choose "abbrechen" (cancel).

Ok. Thanks for the clarification. As is said... I'm not sure what all this is about.

Original post edited for ENGLISH version.

Edit: Can a mod remove "free for 24 hours only" from topic title? Thanks.

What? The other was German. And this link doesn't seem to be limited to 24hrs.

Thanks zap.

The newer link was just to the main site. I see you fixed it again.

edit: I used postal code 4610.

I says I already subscribed to this promotion...even when I use different email addresses.

Did you use the same ip or info? New info & ip should get serial & dl link. Worked for me. I also looked up an Oz address to use to be sure. :)

Same ip, different info

It shouldn't have recognized the FIRST ip since it was my first time.

Did you get it? If not:
Look if you got an always connection: cable, dsl, or diaup. Disconnect then reconnect I believe that should give you a new ip. And use a different email.

Oh then you weren't talking about a Nothr American ip.

I've already tried what you are talking about.

And again....

Thanks anyway.

For those that got it to work.
An email with serial gives a link to upgrade to version 9.:)
