Kazaa Lite K++ version 2.6.1

Hello, I am new to this board and have a problem I need some help with. Now I have been using the various versions of Kazaa Lite for years now and have NEVER had any problems with it at all. The last version I updated from was Kazaa Lite K++ 2.4.3 to 2.6.1 and had no problems with it. Then, this month I installed a new 200 GB hard drive and had to redownload Kazaa Lite K++ 2.6.1and had no problems doing so. But I wasn't, and still am not able to connect???!!! Now I know that when you get Kazaa Lite for the first time, it takes a while to connect and I remembered that, but I have left this one on for a a day at a time to see if it would connect and it never did. I've been reading over some threads on this and am somewhat educated, but I would GREATLY appreciate some help to fixing this problem. HOW DO I CONNECT!!??

Its no joke, K-lite 2.7 is the newest version of Kazaa Lite. It has new features over 2.6 like fake file analizer, better built-in IP blocker, custom toolbar and menu bar. GUI hacks (remove certain toolbars, media player ect), Constant 1000 PL (supposeably higher than other Kazaa Lites), soft jump supernodes etc etc etc

I get upto 12 and when I click the "Start KMD" and select Kazze.exe file and nothing happens. It goes back to the first screen but the "Start KMD" is protected. Not sure what I'm doing wrong.

Any help appreciated.

A new version of K-lite 2.7 came out so try upgrading and see if that helps..

If you need support, go to the offical forums. You will get better help there.

But looking at your issue, you sure you downloaded kazaa272_en.exe too? Because there are two fiels u need to download: klite272.exe and kazaa272_en.exe. The first file is K-Lite 2.7 installer. You run that and install it. Then during step 12 of the installation guide you point it to your kazaa272_en.exe file. DO NOT RUN kazaa272_en.exe!! You computer would be filled with spyware/adware. Just make sure to point KShield to the file and continue the guide. ;)

This K lite 2.7.2 it is not K++ is it?

Actually I found out the answer, the programme you mention 2.7.2 is not a KLT version. It is no doubt safe to use if you follow the instructions. But I want a KLT version and the latest version is 2.7.1 and is available from:
http://www.klitetools.com/MM/download.htm If it does not open completely click "download at the top of the page.

But You may or may not find the DL will work, it's to do with being reffered to the site..??? and you may have to register with the forum.

I'm a bit concerned about what Eror67 said about spyware, KLT K++ should not have any spyware. I've DL'd it now will look at installation tomorrow.

No K-Lite 2.7.2 isn't K++. I wouldn't recommend K++ because its old. I would get K-Lite 2.7.2, especially the nsane version which you can download here (http://files.nsaneproductions.com/?file=klite272nsane.exe). It's the same thing as the official just easier to install and a smaller file size.

If you still insist having the official version download it here (http://files.nsaneproductions.com/?file=klite272.exe) along with kazaa_en here (http://www.wigglyworm.net/~nsane/?file=kazaa272_en.exe).
Then read the guide here (http://www.filesharinghelp.com/internationalforums/index.php?showtopic=12316). Hope you get it to work.

K-Lite runs K-Shield which is a little program that stops 'spyware' being installed when Kazaa Media Desktop setup is run. Nontheless on running K-lite , Ewido brings up a warning saying "infected objoct traffic.core found", and obviously i delete it, but then K-Lite will not run. Im not sure how dangerous traffic.core is, but i aint lettin it be. So K-lite does contain spyware.

The same in K-Lite 2.7.2 - TRAFFIC.CORE seems to be a suspicious file reported by anti-virus/malware as ADWARE.ALTNET (http://www.viruslist.com/en/viruses/encyclopedia?virusid=85889)

traffic.core will probably be detected from scanners as its a adware file from KMD. The reason why its included in K-Lite 2.7 is because your traffic details will not be shown without the file. However, NONE of the adware features of this file is ever used. K-Lite 2.7 uses no adware/spyware. You are 100% safe with the file. So dont delete the file, just put it in your exclusions list. The file is safe.

Well I'd just like to point out that nsane's site isn't working, though his forums are.

My K-Lite isn't working as it's an old build and I've been quite lazy.. went on his site to get this 2.7.2 and his site wasn't there, then I went onto my k-lite and it had that traffic.exe thingy problem.. but I couldn't find the actual KMD file to fix it.. :s

It confused me so I gave up. lol

If its too confusing, download the nsane installer which installs everything in one shot. Same url, http://www.wigglyworm.biz/p2p.html (Nsane's site isnt working currently)

Oh, and those of you with the problem with traffic.core getting detected as spyware... the dev is working on a fix so the file isnt needed. So expect the next version of K-Lite to have that situation solved. ;)

EDIT: I just noticed that the nsane installer on wigglyworm page is an older version. So either follow the guide or wait for nsane's site to come back. :)

I always liked kazaa lite now it's trash as no one ueses it, can't even get 1M users on, right now it's in the 700,000 and thats all...I'll have to find some other p2p but I don't know which one...

Kazaa has had 3 million users up until recently.

For some reason I can only see one million in the last 2 weeks. I think part of the network is down, or some sort of action has been taken to sabotage. Does anyone know whats happened?
