I need to format my pc,but my bootable CD is not working,so is ther any way i can format my pc,via any floppy disk or other thing,i urgently need help,so please someone help me

explain....
the CD isn't booting, or....
your PC isn't booting from a CD?

have you set the BIOS to boot from CD-ROM?
is this a retail Windows(?) disc?
what OS are we talking about?

Remember, if it wont boot from a cd then just formatting with a floppy isnt goingto make it any better, you'll just end up with a blank ahrd drive and still no OS.

I thought that was the whole idea behind booting with a floppy....
the cd-rom don't boot, so you turn to the floppies....

I recently had to do that with NT 4.0 (don't ask)
teh rom wouldn't go, so I created the floppies, and.....wallah!

in fact, I created the floppies from the cd that wouldn't boot,
then used the floppies to install from the same cd....that wouldn't boot....

you must be under a lot of stress lately ross :P

I am using winxp sp2,the pc isnt booting from the CD,so will i do now,so from where will i get a bootable floppy disk
