How Much Do You Download In A Month For 56k Users

i just checked my stats and i regularly download 5gb a month on 56k,
although some of this is probaly gamming & surfing traffic, i would say that around 4.0 - 4.5gb would be kazza traffic(downloading).

I'm averaging about 3 - 3.5 gig per month at the moment off Kazaa. I only download at night so I don't tie up the phone line all day.

about 1 full movie = 1.5 GB

about 25 songs = 100 MB

about 3 programs = 100 MB - 700 MB

misc videos, music videos, and pics = 300 MB


so, that adds up to around....um..... 2.2 GB

I only average about 1.7gbs a month on mah 56k even though it does go quite fast. I always get speeds of 5kbps and download heaps. But I guess I don't download much :( .

I download over 2gb a day, usually 1 movie (700mb) about 2 games\software and loads of songs. Im on 576k bt broadband, its nice to know how much they act on people breaking the daily limit :)

I guess I should throw in I use to download about 100 albums or more a week on my DSL when I was alive but since I have died I don't download no more. :P

Let's see, the biggest I ever downloaded was in one month was around a year ago.

I download Spider-Man The Movie (even though I have it now on DVD), Age of Empires II + Expansion, Age of Mythology, Microsoft Publisher 2002, Microsoft FrontPage 2000 (wish it was 2002) and alot more.

That's around 700 + 250 + 1.5 + 300 + 200 = Around 3 GB B)

there's a prog like du meter which will moniter downloads ,and give u totals in mb's u've downloaded each day ,month,etc
there might b a copy on the forun somewhere :) :)

well im on BT broadband now but when i had 56k i downloaded about 1 gig a month this was dut to ma foookin dial up connected at 33.6 most of the time gurr but glad thats over

i remember back in the day taking about 8 hours a night over 3 nights to download truespace from a warez site... i dont even think it worked in the end

I have d/l'ed around 8 or so gigs a month. Dosent happen often but every now and again.
I have had 2-3 gigs just on one dial in. Of course it helps to have a second phone line for the modem, and an ISP where they MEAN unlimited when they say unlimited accounts..

Hey, if this is topic still alive, I get an average of 8.5 gigs per month on me 56k dial-up.
Best I've done was 11 gigs!

Yes, I get a few mp3&#39;s a Day, Hope soon to have broadband, but it may be long time as i live in a little village and we have only just got Telephones, Talk about behind the times.

How much in a month?
I tend to average 4-5 GBs each month (not bad for a for being stuck with 24k and 26.4k connections). I could so go for something faster though.. ;)
