He was doing a speaking tour in the UK, trying to charge £17 ($138) a pop.

He's an MP for feck's sake, he should be speaking in public for free.

The man's a cunt.

That's what I thought.

A silver-tongued one. :)

Yes, we have one of them, too.

Mrs Blair QC was getting about a brazillian pounds for each appearance on her last tour. Fortunately this was unrelated to her husband being the PM.

Wow.

Things are totally out-of-control over there.

I understand Mr Archer is once again upon the circuit. He was on Radio 2 this afternoon laughing and joking about his time gaol. (To be fair he was actually amusing)

J2 could be right

What next? Gary Glitter on "My travels in distant lands"

I believe it was Australia and about, however the song remains the same.

Yeah but he's just a lying, cheating former MP. So that's OK.

It's the "serving" ones charging to be heard that gets my dander up.

We already pay them FFS, why should we pay more to hear them talk pish.

I agree, retired and with candid memoirs, fair enough. Current = more of the same pish you can get for free on the Parliament channel.

Cherie Blair accepted £17,000 from a charity for speaking at an event that left them out of pocket, didnt she? .........Mind, i agree that she is not an MP and has her own career...as long as she doesnt comment on her hubby, she can do what she wants... except it was a charity ffs, most normal people would do it for free...

William Hague earned £385,000 last year from public speaking.

Dianne Abbot earned £85,000...

Poor Frank Dobson only gets £5000 a shot....shame.

........Makes George Galloways £15,000 for 15 events seem a paltry amount... shame on you for picking on him.... :whistling

A Galloway supporter, eh?

BTW-How much has he contributed to the Fund for the Exclusive Benefit of Rat-Faced? :P
