.ace problems

I have a greatful dead discography that I am trying to open, it is an .ace file, I have tried winrar and winace and can't seem to get the file open. it claims that it is an incorrect format for the software. any ideas on how to open it?

as I said, I tried winace and winrar (both should be able to open *.ace files) and both said incorrect format

if it is a single file try changing the extension to .iso or another extension you have nothing to lose...you can always change it back
