I have an Asus K8NE Deulux motherboard, in the bottom two slots at the back are two unused cards...Does anyone know what they are?

One just has a small squarish port and a

O O type symbol
O

The other has two squareish ports and a big COM looking port, What cards are these? I have a see through case and it seems that the slots where these cards would go into (PCI) are empty, so I think they're connected straight to the MB.

when I look at newegg at your board, it looks like you are talking about the pieces that screw into a slot on your case and have a wire coming off that plugs into the motherboard on an internal port, and according to the specs at:
http://www.amdzone.com/modules.php?op=modload&name=Sections&file=index&req=viewarticle&artid=60&page=1
you have an internal midi port, and an internal com port one of these may be it.

I don't quite get what you're trying to say but is what you're talking about in this picture?

Or in this:

Nope :/

It's like two PCI cards which I cant see in the tower, but I can see their inputs at the back (where all the ports are)

Vamp, those are probably what tempest is talking about. Not pci cards.

Assuming I get you right, and you are saying that you can't see them connected to any pci-slot.
Look closely at the second pic vb posted, do the connectors look like the ones on the brackets on that pic?

They are the external add-on ports, shown top left and bottom centre of VB's second image.

The first (top left) has 2 additional USB ports and a joystick port.
The second (bottom centre) is the firewire port.

Yep, those are the ones. Thanks. The motherboard already has a IEEE34 (Firewire) port, so I get two? Cool. The one in the pic doesn't look like a firewire though? The COM port appearence and all.
