Alright so I got Sims 2: Open for business of bittorrent.

I then extrated all of the .rar files.

I then loaded the .mdf file into alcohol.

Installed the game without a flaw.

Now, while trying to load the game (since I have not yet been able to run it), with the image still on my virtual drive, while loading it brings up a message that says I need to insert the disk.

No big deal, right? So I burned the image (using alcohol) on to a disk, and tried to run it from there. This gets the game stuck on the loading screen until a windows error comes up and asks if I want to send an error report.

Did I do something wrong? Have you seen this before?

open the game and look at the files. possibly a crack file u've missed to make the game run properly. u may need to overwrite ur current .exe file with the cracked ver.

nope, all files have been extracted and I have the mdf file attached to alcohol and when it runs it wan't to send an error report to microsoft (aka satan). I think I might just have to wait for a no-cd crack, i think?!?

That patch is not on the cd (the alcohol image file) or in any of the downloaded .rar's, the nfo tells me to burn the cd and enjoy, but when i burn the cd it doesn't work. Now i'm waiting for a no cd crack

The Sims is only single player.

Not sure the problem man. Bad download maybe? Just download a different version.

Mount the image,
Go My Computer
Right Click on the virtual drive and click then explore.
Search for a folder called crack maybe or reloaded,Deviance etc
Open it and replace that file with the one existing in the directory that you have installed the game.
If the game is not cracked then the problem must be the protection.
A file called NFO may help you. It should be inside the folder of the image or to the preview folder.
