:D Hi all.

I am a bit busy with final semester exams, projects, assignments and so on. Just drop by to say, Hi!.

-1.5

Hello.

2y=-3x

y=-3/2x

f(x) = -3/2x

f(1) = -3/2(1)

f(x) = -1.5

y = -1.5

edit:
offtopic as in this next part has nothign to do w/ the basic algebra i just did above:
i fuckin hate calculus, stupid limits :dry:

but ya whats up.

That's not calculus. That's basic algebra.:huh:

edit: I do forget that some folks call it different names. Maths.

this is calc-
derive acceleration from the following position function: F(x)=((sinh(xe^(tx)))4)/(arccsc(56x^(3x)+7x^5))
if you solve this, you are an idiot, because it means that you are doing extra work to solve a math problem that doesn't have any need to be solved.

or ask Maple to resolve it for ya :P

3(1) = -2y
3/-2 = y
y=-3/2 aka 1.5

i'd have to say definately not calculus.

stay focused!

no im just saying that the calc. im taking is fuckin stupid.

i know that's basic algebra the guy originally posted :huh:

i just pointed out my dislike of calculus (which was off topic)

while we're at it, can anyone explain why we need to take Chem12 in order to get into University under an computer engineering degree or w/e. I don't see how chemistry will be involved in getting a computer engineering degree, like seriously...

To solve this hard drive problem, please balance the following redox equation by the oxidation number method then proceed with labeling the cathode and...while you're at it find the left hand limit of x as it is approaching 1 from the equation lim f(x) blah blah blah

I can so totally picture myself doing that in a computer engineering course....

That's Busyman logic if I ever heard it....

Oh I assumed you were saying that was calc since you referred to the math problem above the sentence.

I understand now.

If you really want a calculus question.

Let y=3x²+4x+9
Find:
a ) f'(x) and f''(x)
b ) the extreme point(s)
c ) the inflection point(s)
d ) intervals
e ) y-intercept
f ) draw the graph

a) f'(x) = 6x+4
f''(x) = 6

fer starters

cpt - engineering is tuff stuff. i took comp science to avoid that b.s.:naughty:

:huh: Extreme super duper inflection points eh?

I'm taking college/apprenticeship math.
We're learning area and perimeter. :01::frusty:
Funny thing is more than half the class is failing.:blink:

Current semester, I have calculus course. It's mostly about derivatives. ^_^ Quite fun after understand how it works.

I feel sick looking at those things. Please stop.

It reminds of the days in highschool before a maths exam.:sick:
Why would anyone be so evil as to invent things like sin, cos etc...:cry:
