Philip Pullman fans?

Anyone here fans of the Dark Materials Trilogy? I heard it's going to be made into a movie... here's hoping they don't butcher it up by mashing all the plot lines together.

I liked Dark Materials 1 and 2, but didn't get on with the third book for some reason.

I'm sure if they did make it into a film it'd be tremendous though. The books are wildly popular. :)

I read and enjoyed the first two as well but never got onto the third as my kid sister only had the first two. :ermm:

I'm not too sure about the film version myself, word on the street is that they intend to take all that whacky god stuff out so as not to offend the christians and the like.
