Does anyone know what is going on with torrentbytes. I've tried to sign up recently and it always says sign ups are not available but there have been many members kicked out lately.

People are always trying and you have to be lucky to even get to the signup sheet and then have to type fast as hell before someone else takes that spot.

This is the way i signed up and it took a few tries.

Yeah but here are the stats

Stats
Registered users 48,931
Unconfirmed users 0
Torrents 889
Peers 33,286
Seeders 30,772
Leechers 2,514
Seeder/leecher ratio 1224%

There are plenty of available spots but when I try to sign up I get a blank white page that only says: We are sorry, signups are temporarily closed ...

Don't get a shock now, maybe they are "temporarily closed" ....

i have been trying for a long time to get in...its kind of rediculous how hard it is to get into a lot of these sites. I understand they need to protect their users somehow but making it difficult for just 'anyone' to get in...but... its just a bummer man

Everybody has to go thru this process, its just how it is and how it will be, take it or leave it. Also they cant have `anybody` MPAAses just gettin!

unfortunately everybody has to go thru it, but it worth the wait, good speeds and torrents

They did have some downtime a week or two ago so I'm assuming it has something to do with that. They'll be open for sign-ups sooner or later.
