Demonoid is workin fine, good site. If its givin u prbs then why dont u download from Torrentspy, another good site for torrents. Infact bigger then Demonoid.

I too find Demonoid has been down for past couple of days, so don't know what's up there.
I have cleared cookies etc but still no joy.
Maybe my isp as I have heard they are sometimes playing silly sods, will have to see if oother sites are unaccessable.

Yeah but thats the problem i dont even get a splash page.I get the page that says the connection has timed out.every other site is working fine except that one.I have no clue what the problem could be but it makes me mad.

Yes torrents are now back but will have to wait for forum as they are still working on it.

Demonoid is very good but you normally need an invite to get access unless they open it up which is done now and again.

It's worth signing up to even if it's just as another source of torrents (in case sites like torrentspy is down for example).

Whether it's better remains to be seen. From my experience a huge chunk of popular files are from external trackers anyway so they're not that much benifit from being a member. Plus they have a weird way of displaying search results (by date added rather than by seeds) which makes things a bit more difficult and I haven't been able to find a way to change it :(

I am downloading now bt my ration is getting screwed up (I have been seeding a file two days now and no credit). When the site is down do you lose tracker credit?

demonoid has an odd tracker setup
it only updates ur stats after ur client announces to STOPPED announcement to the tracker.
i.e. to send ur stats, when ur done downloading/uploading, "stop" the torrent(not pause), and wait a few minutes to make sure it sends.
also, demonoid sometimes dont update ur stats for a couple days.
the site says 24 hours, but i tend to find it being longer.

demonoid does not update stats (and does not kick you out either).I've had the same ratio for several months while I've upped a lot of things (I've stopped now. I almost don't use it)...
torrents are of course not seeded very long. whether you leech or seed it does not matter...

Demonoid sucks in comparsion to just about every private tracker that doesn't suck completley.
If you're looking for a site that has a better interface then demonoid, but more torrents then torrentspy go to ISOHUNT, they just grab everything off every tracker.
Of course none of those compare to private trackers in terms of speed.

I disagree with everyone bashing demonoid. I use Torrent Harvester to search for torrents across hundreds of torrent sites and many results are from demonoid, even for old torrents, and they are still active. Even though the download speed is not fast, I can still get old stuff not available anywhere else. I stocked up on resume and career torrents recently through demonoid.
