I saw that on ESPN over 2 weeks ago. He was hittin' 3 pointer after 3-pointer....just killin' the other team.

He's already received tons of movie offers which is sure to be a modern day Rudy type.

His autistism isn't very acute. He interviewed very well.

Gee whiz, I should have pointed that out, as well as given you credit for having seen it over two weeks ago.

Not "very acute" is probably not worth a "Rudy" movie; I mean, it didn't warrant a mention "over two weeks ago".

Gee whiz I must have offended someone by saying I saw that over two weeks ago.

I remember someone talking about a movie called Darkness that came out in the theater and I mentioned I had seen it a year earlier on a download. Maybe they should have been offended too.

Gee whiz I used very and acute together.

Gee whiz I must be downplaying this momentous event when in fact I thought it was great.

Gee whiz, I can't.

On a side note, I give the movie a fasttrack 2007 release.

A summer or Christmas movie

Eh? Those are just my thoughts. I have no idea when the movie would come out.

It will definitely be made though.

media attention
autism
against-all-odds
sports
true story

= must made movie

On a side note

Rudy died on 24 yesterday.

Spoiler in this box.

I'd put money against that....

media attention --> it was a 3 minute feel good story on the news
autism --> already made that movie, it's called "Rainman"
against-all-odds --> it's not like he never played basketball before...
sports --> obviously, since sport movies are such huge profit makers right now....oh wait....
true story --> who cares?

Put them together. It works.

media attention - it was a feel-good story in multiple news outlets (see true story below)
autism - Rainman did well too.
against-all-odds - yeah he played b-ball and was the basically the waterboy...oh that's right he's autistic too
sports - child sports movies are decent money makers - family night out anyone?
true story - it draws those who know the real story and want to see it on film

media attention - maybe we need a movie for the animal trick news story I saw the other day
autism - Rainman is how old now?
against-all-odds - we have that movie already as well, Waterboy
sports - Friday Night Lights taught them a lesson
true story - how did people know the "real" story? did they have access to super secret news broadcasts the rest of us didn't? one small town cannot make for a successful movie. They are the only ones who know the "real" story

Mmk. Alota people saw the tidbit on the news. That's enough as long as the movie doesn't 10 years to make.

Also you musta missed the all together part.

You citing other successful movies doesn't prove my point...oh wait.

So how did you manage to get the entire "real story" out of a little 3 minute news piece? Oh, wait. Next you will probably be telling us you know the kid, and you were the one who taught him to shoot 3-pointers.

Hehe... actually, I meant to post that on the other board I'm visiting.

No offence intended.

But to answer your question: Yes, as a matter of fact, my name is Gee.

Gee Hamm.

It's pronounced exactly like Jihad.

Only different.

No problem.;)

I do see that it got the attention of the President early yesterday.
The posting of this thread was right on time.

After seeing the vid again, this really was a movie script in the making. He even hit a 3-pointer at the buzzer ffs.

I'd go see the movie.

I wonder if the school would play him again as a spot up shooter?
