Any day now, the American's are just going to grow tired of us and take us over, and the US won't even hear a beep out of other countries. Quite frankly, I don't really care if there's an American takeover.

Just more Family Guy and Starbucks for me:P

I think I'd managed a treble rodder - but never a quadruple hookster.

I'm wondering if The is sincere with his wriggle :smilie4:

We're not much of an ally if you think about it...

We only have 50,000 ppl in the Armed Forces, and we won't even join US in the war in Iraq right now.

Still, their Starbucks are good.

So is Second Cup.

Not a fucking chance and if he claims it he's a lion. Fact.

Maebech decided to make it a quintuple, but he doesn't really count as he is from Canadia. Well I s'pose doing it after the declaration of roddery makes it count. So I claim a "handfull".

Our closest ally is the U.K., but only politically, not popularly.

Canada ends up in the same boat.

The rest of you may as well be French. :P

No.

A wee bit sarcastic, maybe.

You know what I mean, of course.

Funny; the international community thinks that if a Democrat is elected President, the U.S. will magically become less insufferable.

Naive, that.

A colluegue is contacting all the smallest countries in the third world to ask them the right to be make an embassy for them in oslo (for free), she will hence make embassadorial "soirees" (aka bar) (aka parties) and invite the inhabitants of the city (oslo) to participate. 50% of the profit will go to that country.
What this has to do with USA allies i am not certain, but it is indeed nice even if you are small (country) to be invited and represented.
It is in the begining fase. One country has accepted.

UK is the one being played up in the news with participation in Iraq and all, and also the one where leaders are facing the same difficult questions about Iraq that our administration is facing (false pretenses for war, where the hell are the WMD that they said were there)

Let me explain...If Ally Sheedy is in Canada filming a made for cable movie,
(Lifetime) and Ally McBeal is in N.Y. filming a made for tv movie,(lifetime)
then Ally McBeal is the USA's closest Ally, at that particular time.

See, it's all a matter of perspective.

1. The poll said "just now".

2. Ally Mcbeal doesn't film TV movies...or anything for that matter.

One of my favourite jokes from The Simpsons, is when they're doing the model United Nations and are just messing around, and then Mr Skinner says.

"Children please, do you want to be like the UN or do you just want to bicker and squabble?"
