What causes Synch errors in MP3's ?

Synch errors are problems where the frames in an Mp3 files are not correct.

I have quite a few Mp3's with synch errors, and I am gradually deleteting them and getting better files.

But what I would like to know is what causes synch errors ?

Is it

A problem during the original ripping from CD ?

Or a problem caused when the file was being downloaded via a p2p, perhaps when the d/l stopped then resumed ?

Most likely a problem with the file itself...However, I have not run into any synch erros with mp3 downloads.....maybe a hardware issue on your side?
