Looks like the PS3 controller that we have all come to love so much (Yeah right) has been scrapped. The controller so often referred to as the 'Boomerang' is being scrapped in favor of a more sleek design according to some sources. The controller wasn't recieved too well by its own fan base, which has prompted sony to take a fresh look into the situation to see if they can come up with a better design which would be benificial to all, and just plain liked more by its core fans.... Again, details on the expected new design are under lock and key. They'll have to do a pretty good job on the design I'd expect as there have been many a concept design created by sonys fanbase which would be worthy of mass production themselves...

Damn and it was wireless. I could get rid of my guns and just use that as a weapon instead....and it would always come back to me.:(

not to sure about this especially since the ps3 is "supposed" to cum out in 7 months. scrap and redesign in that little of time. doubtful.

Its only a controller. They could redesign it 100 times in 7 months.

i really happen to like ps2-style dualshock controllers. they should just improve on that design with the wireless and whatnot.

They got sued for the design...so did Microsoft but they won (obviously they used their money to their advantage).

They don't have to change the design. Wasn't the whole lawsuit over the dual shock vibration thing?

It's only the computer controlled vibration shock. M$ paid out. Sony didn't and lost.

Sony appealed the case.

there original controllers are what symbolize ps1 or 2 and getting rid of them is stupid, i think they should stick with the old dualshock

Sony appealed the case. What I don't understand is why they waited so damn long to sue them. I mean the PS2 is 6 years old almost now along with the dualshock controllers. Wtf is the point of that. I'm glad M$ won, I love my Xbox 360 controller.
